You want to vote for the European Parliament but won't make it back home? No worries, you can vote in Osnabrück - but how? We are meeting on the 15th of May at 7:30pm for a little information session on the elections in general and how you can register for voting. Pretzels and drinks are on us, so come by building 15 room 105.

Du willst an der Wahl für das Europäische Parlament teilnehmen, schaffst es aber nicht nach Hause? Keine Sorge, du kannst in Osnabrück wählen - aber wie? Wir treffen uns am 15. Mai um 19:30 Uhr zu einer kleinen Informationsveranstaltung über die Europawahlen ganz allgemein und zur Registrierung ins Osnabrücker Wahlregister. Brezeln und Getränke gehen auf uns, also komm vorbei ins EW Gebäude (15, Raum 105).

Am 9. Juni findet die Wahl des Europaparlaments statt. Studierende dürfen in Osnabrück wählen, wenn sie
- eine EU Staatsbürgerschaft haben,
- mindestens 16 Jahre alt sind,
- in Osnabrück seit mindestens 3 Monaten gemeldet sind,
- und sich in das Wahlregister eingetragen haben.

D.h. auch Erasmus-Studierende dürfen von hier aus wählen, wenn sie vor dem 9. März 2024 ihre Anmeldung in der Stadt gemacht haben.
Menschen, die bereits in Deutschland an einer kommunalen, Landtags-, Bundestags- oder Europawahl teilgenommen haben, sind automatisch im Wahlregister.
Wenn ihr in Osnabrück zum ersten Mal wählen wollt und noch nicht im Wahlregister der Stadt steht, müsst ihr euch aktiv eintragen lassen. Das Anmeldeformular dafür findet ihr in unserem Bio; das Formular muss zum 19. Mai bei der Stadt abgeben werden.

Eure Stimme könnt ihr dann am 9. Juni vor Ort an der euch zugeteilten Wahlurne oder bis kurz davor per Brief abgeben.

Want to vote in the European Parliament elections but can't make it home? Don't worry, you can vote in Osnabrück - but how? We will meet on May 15 at 7:30 pm for a small information event about the European elections in general and for registration in the Osnabrück electoral register. Pretzels and drinks are on us, so come along to the EW building (15, room 105).
 

The elections for the European Parliament are taking place on June 9th. Students are eligible to vote in Osnabrück if they have
- EU citizenship,
- are at least 16 years old,
- have been registered in Osnabrück for at least 3 months and
- have entered their names into the electoral register of Osnabrück.

Eligible Erasmus and exchange students are explicitly addressed, as long as they have registered an Osnabrück address before the 9th of March 2024.
Citizens who have already voted in a municipal, state, federal or European election in Germany are automatically entered in the electoral register.

If you decide to vote in Osnabrück for the first time and are not yet on the city's electoral register, you need to actively register yourself. You can find the registration form in our bio; the form must be submitted to the city by 19th of May.
You can then vote on the 9th of June on site at the ballot box allocated to you, or shortly beforehand by post.
